The British have a large number of myths and legends that have been passed generation to generation throughout the ages. Most of these will be familiar to us, such as the myth of King Arthur and the legend of Robin Hood, but these are only the prominent features of a rich British mythological heritage. Here we explore some of the more obscure and remote legends and myths of the British Isles, which, although unfamilar to most, are still part-and-parcel of our heritage.
