NEW Brief- James Duneford (digital media)

The Brief

Jmaes Dunford is A character Technical director he works on rendering for characters in software such as MAYA. He needs a logo and a stationary set designing to promote his business

Considerations
The Profession has character in the title, however the rendering side of his work is a very different to the immediate connotations of the word character. I will need to take this into consideration when designing the brand identity

Target Audience
As a freelance designer the stationary and design needs to be created so he can sell his profession to clients in the most professional manor possible

Tone of Voice
The design needs to reference the style of work he produces, so impact can be delivered and therefore help him gain recognition

Mandatory Requirements

be applied to a range of stationary to promote

I have just had a meeting with James Duneford from Digital media, he is collaborating with Dean Gray on a project for his FMP. Which will be based on the characters designed by Dean, which will then be turned into 3d deign by James. i will be working with them to create publications of the work produce for the project. the amount of books or content has not yet been decided, however i would think they would consist of:

book 1: introducing project, initial ideas and character concepts and backgrounds

book 2: 2d characters to 3d characters, development, testing

book 3: resolved work and conclusions

These books will develop my understanding of the relationship between type and image.

they will also create a more professional feel for james' FMP. the books will accompany his animation at his end of year show, i will also design banners and posters which will be used for his end of year show, other promo such as flyers will also be designed.

PART ONE:

i will also be producing the design work for his self promotion, this will consist of a logo and identity, business cards, letterheads, the design work for a promotional pack. this will allow me to play on creative ideas which will bring him across as a creative digital animation designer.
