YEARBOOK PHOTOS (NEW RULES)

We have received questionnaires back from all students which is good. However, the feedback which we received was not entirely what we expected. this is largely to do with the use of photoshoping. therefore we are to blame, in terms of delivery. initially we said that photoshoping would be aloud for the photographs, which has resulted in a large pecentage of the group coming up with ideas to which are predominately photoshop based. this is taking the focus away from the purpose of the photo and also creates too much contrast within every ones shot. which can result in making the yearbook look like a photoshop promotion rather than promoting the course. So we have come up with some new rules which we have from crits and group tutorials. for a resubmission of ideas. the rules have been created so we have a set of photos for the book which are consistent and sell the individual and represent the course.

- Photo has to be taken in the studio, white wall/floor space.
- You and your work have to be in the shot.
- No Photoshopping (this creates inconsistency throughout the yearbook and mostly looks cheesy/shit)
- You must interact with the shot (this could be laying out work, illustrating, photographing, holding work, ect.
- No tea drinking/making. (It's over done and irrelevant)
