GROUPING the SET SHOTS

I have shown how we began to take the set shot photographs in a more ordered way, After taking a quarter of the students set shots, we began to see the style of shots which were working the best and then became more familiar with the style of shots which would best suit the individual and there work.

this was an extremely lengthy process and got harder as we progressed, as to make the book successfull we needed to make each shot individual. We also began to group the shots sutley in terms of viewpoint or interaction so there was some form of consistency through out the book.

Here are some close up view points of the students interacting with there set space, they give instant impact and lead the viewer on to see the close ups on the next page with more anticipation.

Here are some more shots which have the students interacting with there set shot, they work on a similar basis to the shots which consist of students illustrating/crafting. however these shots show students interacting with different media, for example this could suggest , that andy (first pic) is digital vector based and print design.

These shots make more use of the wall space from the set this allows he student to display more of there work and is perfect for students which are print based designers

the shots taken here will be used to pace the progression of the book, as these shots bring more aspects of the individuals personality, therefore make the book more inter sting.

All the shots taken here use the same set space, but we have changed the viewpoint of the shot and taken a birds eye view angle the work and the student.

Here are some shots where the work is the most important part of the shot and the individual is a secondary form of information.

Bellow are some set shots which are all based around the students interacting with there set space, they are all preforming a form of finishing touch to there set. A large amount of students had a shot in this style, so we mixed up the angles and viewpoints of the shots, to make it more interesting.

Here are some shot which we took, where all the students are working with there working on tables and the walls around them, this was a good way of showing designers with a more illustrative/ craft based style.

Here are the set shots for the yearbook team
