we have decided to change the ideas behind the consistency to 'individuality'
therefore this will help make the images more elaborate and bring across more of the students personality, therefore make this a book with alot of impact. we will still be using the space and big image to represent the student. however we will be giving more freedom in the shot, for the student to express themselves. therefore the student can includes aspects of personality, work and professionalism or a combination of all. this will help break the dps up more. as the students image will contrast less with work represented on the right hand side page.


OLIVIA- here is an idea which we came to with Olivia, her image portrays here personality of music and illustration, she wanted to use a mind bubble approach and fill it with illustration.
so we sat down and come up with the idea of using the foreground to have a shot of her paying the saxophone, looking at a music stand which holds an issue of computer arts, rather than music. then have an illustration on the back wall which looks as if it is coming out of the sax, this will subtly suggest what she is seeing in the computer arts magazine.

KARL CARTWRIGHT- for Karl we came up with the ideas that he could be in the foreground of the image taking a photo of him on mac 'photoshoping' the image which he is taken. this will be taken in separate shots and then combined together, but due to Karl's skills on photoshop i can't see that being a problem. this shot will bring across his mac and photography skills

Lucie's, photo could be a stall, which presents all the work which she makes and sells, this will interesting as she can make full use of the foreground and background. Lucie also had another idea of using hanging mirrors, this will also be visually interesting.

Karl's ideas were to use some form of boxes in his shot, and to have him in the box in some way, this will be explored with in the photography. this is a nice idea as it will bring across Karls style as a package and type/ layout designer.

We have also had an ideas of having an achievement section in the book, this will highlight what the students on the course have achieved throughout there time here.
after a crit we decided that this could also be a section in the back which can be called acknowledgments. therefore we can get quotes from industry professionals and work placements on the students, this will allow it to be fair as each student has an opportunity to receive quotes.
